Soundblox Mat 15 is a 15mm and 15kg acoustic sound mat. It is our high performance yet cost effective solution. The product is versatile and can be installed under wood and laminate flooring along with directly under carpet flooring.
The open cell chip foam will act as a comfort underlay when laid foam side up directly under carpet. Use alongside acoustically perimeter strips to achieve a flush finish with your carpet. Once the gripper rod sits on the perimeter strip it will form a level flush finish
If you are installing under a laminate of timber / engineered wood floor lay the Soundblox mat barrier side up. Most wood floors can be laid directly onto the matting, however if you have particularly small planks then we suggest installing ply or pdf floor prior to the installation of the wood floor.
Soundblox comes in small sheets 1.2m x 6.0m allowing them to easily carried up stairs and onto building sites. The sheets weight is 10.8kg each.
